My 5-year-old built three different models in one afternoon — the Qboidz connectors are really easy for small hands to use.

My 4-year-old figured out the wheel-and-axle model on his own within ten minutes, which honestly surprised me. The pieces are big enough that I'm not hovering over him worried about choking, so he gets to actually build independently.

The chunky pieces snap together with a satisfying click, and my 5-year-old can pull them apart on her own without me prying them loose. We've built the little car and the robot so far, and she keeps asking to try the next model.
