Cars are more than just wheels and engines, they’re rolling classrooms of physics and engineering. With Engino’s Discovering STEM Technology of Machines: How Cars Work set, kids ages 9+ can build 10 functional models, from city cars to dragsters, while exploring the science behind motion, friction, gearboxes, and safety systems.

The included booklet combines theory, experiments, and quizzes, showing how design choices like wheelbase or ride height affect performance in the real world. Whether at home or in the classroom, this set makes abstract STEM concepts concrete, engaging, and fun.

My 10-year-old loved figuring out how a differential works while building one of the 10 models — made engineering concepts click in a way a textbook never could.

My 10-year-old spent a whole rainy Saturday building the gear and piston models instead of asking for the tablet. The instructions actually show how a real engine transfers motion, not just "snap tab A into slot B." Ten models means it kept him busy way longer than most kits in this price range.

The idea behind this engineering set is solid, but my 11-year-old found the instructions for the first model a bit confusing. The fact you can build ten different cars is nice, but we only stuck with a couple.
